چکیده مقاله:

Interfacial debonding and matrix cracking are two of mostimportant damage modes, which affect the behavior, andproperties of composite materials especially inmicromechanical levels. In the present study, by usingcohesive zone model (CZM) as well as extended finiteelement method (XFEM), the effects of initiation andpropagation of fibre/ matrix debonding and matrix crackingon the behavior and properties of representative volumeelements (RVE) with different fibre shapes will be studied.Firstly the behavior of CZM and XFEM has been studiedthrough the validation of an available work, then withexerting a transverse loading and appropriate boundaryconditions on the RVE’s, the effects of these damage modeson the properties of them will studied.
