Investigation effect of masonary walls on capacity curve andperformance of reinforced concrete frame in near fileld eartquake

Infills have desirable and undesirable effects on seismic behavior of reinforced concrete frames.in the design of structures infills normally used for separating spaces and walls. Even in seismicactive areas, generally ignored as structural members Unfortunately, existing laws, regulationsand guidelines acceptable for modeling, analysis and design of infills offer frames or not. In thisstudy the seismic performance of RC frames with infills in areas near fault under nonlinear timehistory analysis has been investigated. For this purpose, the concrete frame 3 and 6 stories, eachwith full Infill and without infill, is evaluated.The results show that the presence of infillsignificantly improves the performance of structures and reduce the number of plastic joints, themaximum relative displacement classes as well as classes permanent displacement after anearthquake.
