Studying the Effect of Capital on Profitability and Risk of Banks ListedIn Tehran Stock Exchange

This research tries to study the effect of capital on profitability and riskof banks listed in Tehran Stock Exchange, which its purpose isidentifying and determining the relationship between bank capital andprofitability, and identifying and determining better indicator ofexplaining profitability and risk through the impact of the bank'scapital. To measure the variables of this study (capital, profitability andrisk) the panel data regression method and significance level of Limerhas been used. To determine the research result, collected datathrough 5 years (from 2009 to 2013) from banks listed in stockexchange and Rahavard Novin results were used, and eventually, thedata collected, after modification and necessary classification byEviews software has been analyzed, and finally, after investigating thevariables of research models, which included the capital, return onassets, return rate of equity, return on assets variance, and variance ofreturn on equity and the margin of net interest, it revealed that thatcapital has been effective return rate of equity, and return on assetsvariance, and margin of net interest, and there is no significantrelationship between capital and return rate of equity and variance ofreturn on equity
