Barriers of knowledge sharing in Masjed-Soleyman oil and gas producing Company

This study explores barriers of knowledge sharing in Masjed-Soleyman oil andgas producing Company. Literature showed three main categories includingpotential individual barriers, potential organizational barriers and potentialtechnological barriers have an impact on knowledge sharing in the companies.Data were collected by convenience sampling and hypothesizes were tested withregression analysis. We distributed 200 questionnaires among employees and 130questionnaires were returned. Result showed Trust, power, organizationalhierarchy and information system have a significant positive relationship withknowledge sharing. However, communication and reward have an insignificantrelationship with knowledge sharing in Masjed Soleyman oil and gas producingCompany. The findings of this study can be useful for boards and managers of oiland gas Companies and also for regulators and policy makers of oil industry.
