چکیده مقاله:

Identifying aptitudes has always been an issue of importance forpsychologists, therefore, nowadays; it is a hot issue, worldwide, invarious fields such as management, course selection, career selection,sports talent identification, and so on. Undoubtedly, all of the holders ofprofessional careers, managers, and experts of the future are nowstudents. Therefore, utilizing appropriate methods to evaluate aptitudeshelps educational planners, authorities, and masters to coordinateteaching methods and strengths and needs of the students, whileutilizing the results of such evaluations. The purpose of the presentstudy was to develop and validate an aptitude test battery. Thepopulation of the study consisted of all students who studied in Samahigh schools of Guilan province during 1394-1395 . Each section of theaptitude test measures one single factor specific aptitude. Exploratoryfactor analysis showed that the test includes four main factors(including non-verbal reasoning, mathematical aptitude, verbalreasoning and general aptitude) that explain 68% of varianc, and thereis a second order factor that explains the correlation between thesesections and we call it overall or general aptitude.So this test might beused for guiding students on selecting their field of study in highschool
