چکیده مقاله:

Temperature directly influences vegetation water content which can effect on heat stress tolerance. There has been an increasing trend in the high-temperature over global land surfaces may lead to catastrophic loss of vegetation water content. In this study, we used satellite thermal inferred domain to estimate Relative Water Content (RWC) that helps us to understand plants susceptible to heat stress. We measured the RWC as a standard metric in Hyrcanian's forest species in 32 sampling sites of the Zaringol forest in Northeast of Iran in the warm season. In-situ RWC observations and thermal variable estimated from Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) data was then used to estimate RWC for entire Zaringol forest using Standard Least Squares technique (SLS). We validated the model with data collected at 32 locations. The results show that SLS performed good prediction with only <15% Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). This study declares that RWC parameter can be estimated with appropriate accuracy using thermal infrared satellite image.
