چکیده مقاله:

A 2D Percolation theory model developed to investigate the simulation of the gas-solid reaction with formation of ash layer. The percolation theory describes the behavior of connected random clusters in a discrete or continuous space. The theory uses the Monte Carlo algorithm based on the generation of random variables to simulate the behavior of the stochastic systems or even the deterministic ones with high degree of the complexity. In this work, the gas-solid reaction is investigated by considering the solid as a lattice with length L, and n successive layers. At each time step, the gas molecules randomly react with the solid surface and form an ash layer which is inert for further reaction. The parameters of the model are the lattice length, number of ash layer, concentration of the gas, and the reaction kinetics.
