چکیده مقاله:
Ultra Large Scale Systems (ULSS) are the new generation of information systems that have different characteristics than current systems, due to their very large size. Business Process Management (BPM) is an established approach for management and improvement of organizational processes to achieve effective and efficient processes. Interoperability is the ability of systems and their components to work together effectively. Each ultra large scale system is based on a physical structure that is also based on process and workflow. According to the wide scales of these systems, every improvement in processes structure can lead to reduce classes, transactions, lines of code, failure, and required equipment. According to special specification of ultra large scale systems such as focus on concepts like people and also supporting most of these concepts by business process management, we can use it as an approach to response to challenge facing ultra large scale systems. Business process management can help optimize ultra large scale system as a technical management approach with processes improving or reengineering and also as holistic management approach by concentrate in items like people, information technology, governance, culture and strategic alignment. We try on this research to increase the interoperability maturity in ultra large scale systems and check its effects by increasing business process management maturity. For this purpose a case study in business process management project implementation is presented.
