چکیده مقاله:

According to the dialectic principle of Hegel, each thesis forms an antithesis inside itself; the power of that thesis is progressively decreased, while the power of its antithesis is increased. This continues when the antithesis eliminates the thesis. Then a mutation occurs and a synthesis is formed, and this cycle is repeated. Styles also follow this principle. For example, modernism was a critical response for hard, rigid, and imitative frameworks of tradition. In fact, the antithesis of modernism formed inside the thesis of tradition and eliminated it; then the synthesis of post-modernity formed. Not only post-modernism negates blind imitation of rigid principles and forced awards of classic style (tradition), faceless and non-logical objections against all principles of modernity style, but also it defines and confirms modernism and modernity creativity in the frame of tradition. If we assume native materials equivalent to tradition and smart materials equivalent to modernity, (according to the dialectic principle as a theorem) we can prove that smart materials will be designed, constructed and implemented by native trends same as post-modernity returns and responses modernity facelessness by tradition roots. For example, production of self- healing concrete is a mutation today; however, desert cities of Iran require self- healing bricks for survival, not self-healing concrete. Therefore, smart materials must be along response to culture, identity, and country. Thus, the goal of this paper is obtaining smart materials compatible with native desert regions of Iran. To do so, we gathered similar samples from similar territories by library and case study methods, and analyzed them by comparative and inductive methods. The results indicate that we can obtain a pattern from smart materials compatible with native desert regions of Iran.
