A MODERN SOLUTION FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE DSM DRAFT AT BIG INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS

Based of the new technologies in the country and abroad, the paper presents two projects for "Computer Assisted Electricity and Power Management System with Extended Functions" (including the energy tariff procedures). These systems are to be implemented within the PETROBRAZI S. Aand PETROTEL S.A- platforms. In compliance with the structure of the data processing systems, the project has two components -hardware and software - but integrated achieved as a hard-soft tandem. The management system is structured on. three hierarchical levels : processcollected information, locally processed information and the main point of process. The following technical and economical effects are to be assessed: - increasing labour productivity -the management system takes over all operations related to meters reading, data transmission to the dispatcher, drawing up technical specifications, audits, reports, records and supplier-consumer discount procedures; - reducing the power input peaks used for short periods leading to the improvernent of the load curve; - reducing the electricity inefficient consumption by monitoring and comparing m real time, the consumption on floors, shifts, days, decades, months, and so on; - improving the energy intensity index on product flow, technologies and by performing in real time the specific consumption and audit computations.
