USEFUL LIFE OF GENERATORS IN POWER STATIONS

Heat removing and increase the efficiency of generators exceed by using H2 as a coolant. Revamping generators form air cooling system to hydrogen cooling system Exceeds the efficiency of generator about 1"0' and if there is enough power on turbine, generator will be able to produce 1.35 times of its rated power.Increasing the purity of H2 from 97.'0' to 98.'0' in hydrogen cooling systems exceeds the life of rotor insula tion about 5 years and reduces ventilation loss of rotor about 10 KW for a 100 Mw generator.Decreasing the purity of H2 from 975'0' to 95% increases the ventilation loss of rotor about 20Kw for a 100 Mw generator and reduces the life of rotor insulation about 5 to 8 years.
