RELIABILITY EVALUATION ON SUBSTATION DESIGNS

In this article,the results obtained from the reliability evaluations and economical considerations in respect to 7 various designs normally used for 63/20 KV substations are presented at first. Then the optimum designs which were selected on the basis of a.m results are introduced. Regarding the lack of reliability data on the equipment under opeeration in the Iranian Electrical Network, a coordinated action for the, collection and interpretation of such data are also suggested. Finally the necessity of reliability evaluations in connection with the engineering designs and selection of optimum solutions are emphasized.
