A distributed security monitoring solution based on hypervisor in cloud datacenters

Cloud computing is a new paradigm with its ownadvantages and disadvantages. Nowadays, many enterprises utilizecloud computing services to minimize IT infrastructure costs.Nonetheless, unfortunately, these environments inherit manysecurity risks of the grid computing environments and additionallyintroduce new security problems that do not exist in traditionalcomputing environments. On the other hands, existent securitymonitoring tools were not originally designed for cloud computing.All of these issues make security concerns in the cloud environmentto be the main obstacles in cloud adoption. Virtualization is a keyingredient for many cloud service providers. In this paper, we offera distributed monitoring solution based on hypervisor. Then, weevaluate that in several aspects.
