EVALUATION OF FORAGE YIELD AND COMPONENTS FOR FORAGE CORN CULTIVARS UNDER THE DIFFERENT NITROGEN FERTILIZER TREATMENTS IN ISFAHAN REGION

To evaluate the impact of nitrogen fertilizer amounts on forage yield, an experiment was conducted as a split plot in a randomized complete block design. Experimental factors included nitrogen fertilizer (0, 50, 100, 150 kg/ha) in main plots and corn hybrids(Sc704, Sc640, Sc 540) in sub plots. On the basis of the results obtained, 540 cultivar and 50 kgN/ha had related the highest dry and fresh forage yield, if the 704 cultivar need to used 100 kgN/ha for production the maximum dry and fresh forage. Thus, 50 kg N /ha and 540 might be suitable as early cultivar and 100 kg N /ha and 704 as late cultivar for forage production under the condition similar to the present study.
