چکیده مقاله:

One of the most important factors in an inventory control system is determining the optimal levels of the orders and the parts of the orders per each cycle. Choosing the wrong policy in controlling and distribution of the inventory will lead to increases in costs, inefficiency in distribution of products andfacing with the lost sales or encountering with overdue orders and customer dissatisfaction. Due to the high costs of storage, the plant managers are looking for ways to cut the costs of storage. Given that traditional methods of inventory control is not amenable to the problem in process we use new methodsto solve this problem. Bearing in mind that the large units of manufacturing are using inventory control systems of (R,Q) and (S,S) for controlling and distribution of inventory, the case study in this paper is emphasizing on manufacturing units, central storage departments and local distributors is distributionof products produced by a known firm. The purpose of this paper is to compare the costs between inventory control systems of (R,Q) and (S,S) with optimization approach by simulation. Therefore at the beginning the simulation happens for the 3 levels of manufacturers, warehouses, central and local distributers by the powerful software of Erna. And then using an optimization approach based onsimulation the values of optimized (R,Q) and (s,S) inventory control system is obtained. Finally the costs of current state and optimum state in both inventory control systems of (R,Q) and (s,S) are compared and the decision about the usage of the optimal inventory control system is concluded.
