چکیده مقاله:

The increasing demand for electricity, rising energy costs, and the transition toward low-carbon energy systems have emphasized the need for economically efficient and sustainable energy management strategies in organizational and industrial facilities. This study proposes an integrated techno-economic framework for evaluating energy management strategies through the combined implementation of energy-efficiency measures and photovoltaic (PV) generation. A case study is conducted at an Entekhab University facility owned by Entekhab Holding to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed framework. First, the actual electricity consumption profile of the facility is obtained and analyzed using available historical consumption data. Potential electricity savings are subsequently identified through the replacement of existing appliances and equipment with higher energy-efficiency alternatives. In parallel, the feasibility and appropriate configuration of an on-site PV system are assessed based on the geographical and climatic characteristics of the site, building specifications, available installation area, and relevant technical constraints. The proposed PV system is modeled and simulated using PVsyst, with key outputs including installed capacity, annual energy yield, system losses, usable energy production, and the contribution of PV generation to the facility's electricity demand. Four scenarios are subsequently evaluated: the baseline scenario, PV generation, energy efficiency, and the integrated energy efficiency-PV scenario. Their technical and economic performances are compared using key indicators, including annual energy costs, electricity consumption reduction, initial investment cost, payback period, net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), and levelized cost of energy (LCOE). The comparative analysis is used to assess the economic implications of integrating demand-side energy-efficiency measures with on-site PV generation and to evaluate how this integrated strategy can reduce energy expenditures and dependence on grid electricity. The proposed framework provides a systematic basis for evaluating energy efficiency and renewable generation within a unified economic decision-making framework. The results can support organizations and industrial facilities in identifying cost-effective energy management strategies and can contribute to the development of integrated solutions that simultaneously address energy-demand reduction, renewable energy deployment, and long-term economic performance.
