چکیده مقاله:

The rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the translation industry has fundamentally transformed the professional environment of English language translators. Beyond technical efficiency, the adoption of AI tools increasingly involves strategic decision-making that reflects managerial competence, professional autonomy, and long-term career planning. This study aims to examine how English translators make strategic decisions regarding the use of AI-based translation tools and which factors influence their adoption behavior from a managerial perspective. Drawing on established technology acceptance and decision-making frameworks, particularly the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and related managerial decision theories, this research adopts a quantitative, empirical approach. Data are collected through a structured questionnaire distributed among professional English translators with varying levels of experience. The questionnaire measures key variables such as perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, risk perception, strategic awareness, and professional control in relation to AI tools. The findings are expected to demonstrate that translators' decisions to adopt AI tools are not solely driven by technological efficiency but are significantly influenced by strategic considerations, including competitiveness, quality management, time optimization, and professional sustainability. Moreover, the study highlights the evolving role of translators as knowledge-based professionals who increasingly engage in managerial decision-making rather than purely linguistic tasks. This research contributes to the interdisciplinary literature at the intersection of translation studies, management, and artificial intelligence by reframing AI adoption as a strategic managerial decision rather than a purely technical choice. The results offer practical implications for translators, translation agencies, and training institutions by emphasizing the need for strategic and managerial skill development alongside technological competence.
