چکیده مقاله:

Telehealth has emerged as a promising approach to deliver prenatal care, particularly following the COVID-۱۹ pandemic. However, the impact of remote monitoring interventions on maternal and neonatal outcomes remains uncertain. This systematic review evaluated the effectiveness of telehealth interventions for prenatal care compared to standard in-person care. A systematic search was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, CINAHL, and Web of Science (January ۲۰۲۰ – March ۲۰۲۶). Randomized controlled trials and quasi-experimental studies evaluating telehealth interventions for prenatal care were included. Fourteen studies (n=۴,۲۸۷ participants) met inclusion criteria. Telehealth interventions significantly reduced the number of in-person visits (mean difference: -۴.۲ visits, p<۰.۰۰۱) without increasing adverse outcomes. Patient satisfaction was high (mean ۴.۳/۵) across telehealth groups. No significant differences were found in rates of preterm birth (RR=۰.۹۴), cesarean section (RR=۰.۹۶), or low birth weight (RR=۰.۹۱) between telehealth and standard care groups. Telehealth was associated with improved blood glucose monitoring adherence in women with gestational diabetes (p=۰.۰۲). Telehealth interventions for prenatal care are safe and effective, reducing in-person visits while maintaining maternal and neonatal outcomes.
