چکیده مقاله:

A novel mass-based spontaneous imbibition method is proposed for rapid evaluation of wettability alteration using crushed rock cuttings and a force tensiometer. Unlike the conventional Amott-Harvey technique, the method eliminates the need for intact core plugs while continuously determining oil recovery from apparent mass measurements. The approach was validated using carbonate cuttings from a reservoir formation in southern Iran and six smart water formulations with different ionic compositions. Base Brine A exhibited nearly constant recovery, whereas Base Brine B increased recovery from approximately ۲۵% to ۵۰%. The proposed method provides a rapid, reproducible, and practical screening tool for smart water evaluation.
