چکیده مقاله:
Light olefins, especially ethylene and propylene, are essential intermediates in the petrochemical industry, which are used to produce polyethylene, polypropylene, and other essential products. Olefins can be produced using different processes and raw materials. The method of converting methanol to olefins is one of the processes that has received much attention in recent years. The purpose of this research is mathematical modeling of reaction and regenerator sections, hydrodynamic simulation, heat transfer and reaction in dual system fluidized bed reactor by using computational fluid dynamic (CFD), large-eddy simulation (LES) method, for methanol to olefin process (MTO). Moreover, investigation of effective parameters such as reactor length, flow velocity in the reactor and product distributions, optimal product distribution scenario and flow velocities will be performed. Methodology in this study is based upon large-eddy simulation (LES) method to describe the flow regime in a fluidized bed reactor. The results of the hydrodynamic simulation were compared with the experimental data, and there was an acceptable agreement between them. Also, solutions were presented to improve the process.
