Petroleum Engineering Education During the Energy Transition: A Curriculum in Transformation

The field of petroleum engineering education is changing as a result of the ongoing global energy transition. Advances in low-carbon technologies, more stringent environmental regulations, and growing digitization are redefining the petroleum industry as economies seek to diversify and decarbonize their energy portfolios. It is now expected of petroleum engineers to work at the intersection of developing sustainable energy systems and traditional fossil fuel expertise.
