چکیده مقاله:

Emotional engagement is a pivotal determinant of academic success and psychological well-being in primary education. As Artificial Intelligence (AI) permeates early childhood classrooms, its role in modulating students' affective states- ranging from peak enjoyment to cognitive frustration-remains a subject of intense scholarly debate. This systematic review synthesizes quantitative evidence from ۳۳ empirical studies (۲۰۱۳-۲۰۲۵) to evaluate the impact of AI interventions on the emotional engagement of primary school learners. Through the lens of the Self-Determination Theory (SDT) and the multi-dimensional engagement framework, we analyze how social robots, chatbots, and intelligent tutoring systems (ITS) influence student affect. Findings reveal a predominant positive shift in enjoyment and satisfaction, particularly driven by the social presence of robotic agents. Conversely, generative AI tools, while promoting agency, can induce frustration due to linguistic and cognitive mismatches. This review provides a roadmap for designing affect-sensitive educational technologies that align with the developmental needs of young learners.
