چکیده مقاله:

Recent development in soft robotics for surgical assistance has been directed towards material innovation and functional design, principally for minimally invasive surgery. Hydrogels possess biocompatibility, flexibility, and responsiveness to various stimuli; thus, they are suitable for application in soft robotic actuators. This review represents the developments of hydrogel-based soft actuators in the framework of MIS regarding their applications, fabrication methods, and integration with sensors. Moreover, it offers current limitations and provides the future directions to improve performance, adaptability, and functionality of hydrogel-based soft robots in surgical environments.
