چکیده مقاله:
One approach to achieving the objectives of green chemistry is the use of catalysts. Catalysts are crucial for efficient product production, as they increase reaction rates [۱]. Currently, considerable industry attention is focused on catalysts that can be easily separated from the reaction medium and have a high surface area for effective contact with reactants. Because of their superparamagnetic properties, magnetic nanocatalysts can be easily separated and have high surface-to-volume ratios, thereby increasing catalytic efficiency [۲]. These nanoparticles can function as specific catalysts by functionalizing their surfaces with specific chemical groups. Because of their unique physicochemical properties, magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe۳O۴) can be used in biomedical applications such as drug delivery and catalysis[۳]. In this study, we synthesized magnetic nanostructures for chemical reactions. To prevent the instability of Fe۳O۴ magnetic nanoparticles under acidic and basic conditions, we applied an SiO۲ coating. Additionally, we functionalized the nanoparticle surface with organic compounds and pyridine-carbaldehyde linkers to create a functionalized ligand, which was used to form iron and copper complexes. The functionalized magnetic catalyst bearing organic groups was shown to be active in carbon-carbon coupling reactions. The structure of the synthesized magnetic nanocatalyst was characterized using SEM, TGA, XRD, EDS, VSM, and FT-IR techniques.
