This study aims to develop a comprehensive model for modeling and prioritizing products in the Iranian paint and resin industry in domestic and export markets. Given the complex interrelations among technical, economic, market, and export factors, a hybrid approach combining fuzzy Delphi, Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory-based Analytic Network Process (DANP), Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM), and MICMAC analysis is employed. First, relevant criteria are identified through literature review and expert interviews and then screened using fuzzy Delphi. Next, causal relationships and weights of the criteria are obtained via DANP. The hierarchical structure of the factors is extracted using ISM, and their driving and dependence powers are analyzed with MICMAC. The results show that “future development capability,” “market attractiveness,” “product quality,” and “export capability” play key driving roles. The final model can support managers in the paint and resin industry in product portfolio selection, resource allocation, and export market development.
