چکیده مقاله:
Emerging economies are undergoing rapid digital transformation, yet this transition often occurs alongside limited technological infrastructure and evolving regulatory environments. These conditions make fraud risk management significantly more challenging. The aim of this study is to examine how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be effectively integrated into fraud prevention frameworks to enhance detection accuracy, strengthen regulatory oversight, and promote digital transparency within these regions. AI-driven fraud detection systems, powered by machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics, provide the capability to process vast amounts of data in real time. By identifying anomalous patterns and suspicious activities with high precision, these systems enable early intervention against financial crimes such as identity theft, money laundering, and cyber fraud. Their adaptive nature also allows them to respond quickly to emerging tactics used by fraudsters, offering a resilient defense in dynamic and fast-changing markets. Moreover, regulatory bodies in many emerging economies often struggle to keep pace with the increasing sophistication of financial crimes. AI addresses this gap by automating compliance procedures and improving transparency in decision making processes. In particular, Explainable AI (XAI) models offer regulators clear insights into how detection results are generated, supporting accountability and alignment with international standards. In addition, the integration of blockchain technology with AI strengthens digital transparency by creating tamper proof transaction records and improving traceability. These advancements reduce fraud opportunities, enhance consumer trust, and contribute to broader financial inclusion. Overall, the findings highlight that leveraging AI in emerging markets requires tailored strategies and collaborative engagement among governments, financial institutions, and technology providers to fully realize its potential.
