چکیده مقاله:

This study looks at how stress and relaxation affect the way people learn a new language. Many learners notice that when they’re stressed, it’s harder to focus, remember new words, or speak clearly, while feeling calm seems to make learning smoother and improve retention. To test this, adult participants completed vocabulary and listening tasks in two conditions: one stressful and one relaxing. Stress was measured using heart rate and self-reported anxiety. Results showed that higher stress led to lower attention, more mistakes, and weaker recall of new material [۱,۵,۶]. In contrast, relaxation improved accuracy and helped participants retain information more effectively. These findings suggest that the body’s stress and relaxation responses play an important role in cognitive processes involved in language learning [۸]. The study highlights the benefits of teaching strategies that reduce anxiety and support a calm mental state, helping learners perform better and achieve long-term progress.
