Evaporation and condensation are among the main principles used in many systems, such as rapid spray desalination (RSD) and split air conditioners. This study aims to estimate the amount and the quality of the water produced by residential split air conditioners during the day. At the first stage, the related parameters of the water produced by the split air conditioning systems were measured in Bandar Abbas city, during the six warm months of the year, for different split cooling capacities in ۲۴ samples. Then, the parameters' governing function was estimated through the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and the Response Surface Method (RSM). Based on the results, the produced water can be considered as a secondary source of fresh water, after applying some simple treatment methods. In order to predict the relationship between influential parameters, it is recommended to apply the fitting function generated by the RSM method.
