چکیده مقاله:
Contemporary Iranian architecture embodies a significant paradox, balancing inherited cultural memory with the imperatives of modernity. This study explores how Iranian architects navigate this tension across forms, materials, and ideologies. Employing a qualitative interpretive methodology, the research integrates an interdisciplinary literature review with a thematic analysis of five diverse case studies: the Milad Tower, Azadi Tower, Nader Khalili's Earth Architecture, Private Villas/Gated Communities, and the Ekbatan Housing Complex. Findings reveal a spectrum of architectural responses, from symbolic reinterpretations of tradition to the adoption of global trends, and eco-conscious integration. This analysis underscores architecture in Iran as a dynamic medium for cultural resistance, adaptation, and self-definition. The study offers crucial insights into fostering a resilient, culturally resonant, and environmentally responsible architectural future that harmonizes historical legacies with contemporary demands.
