چکیده مقاله:

Behavioral and psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression are increasingly recognized in companion animals, yet they remain underdiagnosed and undertreated in many regions, including Iran. Growing evidence suggests that these disorders share conserved neurobiological mechanisms with human psychiatric conditions, particularly involving the HPA axis, limbic circuitry, and monoaminergic systems. This review synthesizes findings from ۲۰۱۸-۲۰۲۵ on the neurobiological substrates of anxiety and depression in dogs and cats and discusses their translational relevance for developing novel therapeutic strategies beyond conventional pharmacotherapy.
