Optimal Blending of Raw Materials in Sinter Plant at Esfahan Steel Company with Fuzzy Goal Programming

Nowadays, the issue of optimizing the consumption of raw materials for factories are at the forefront of the attention of managers and the use of appropriate tools in this regard is of particular importance. In this study, the optimal blending for the agglomeration production is investigated in Esfahan Steel Company. The data for the weights of chemical composition has been collected from metallurgy engineering department and the elemental constraints are formulated. Because of the avoidance of personal judgments, and due to the flexibility of the limits on the composition and uncertainty in the issue, Fuzzy Goal Programming is applied to formulate the blending problem.
