چکیده مقاله:
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is an additive manufacturing technology that is increasingly being adopted in the engineering industry due to its ability to produce complex geometries at lower costs, owing to the use of thermoplastic-based materials. However, because of the sequential layer-by-layer deposition inherent to the process, the interlayer bonding quality is highly dependent on the thermal history and temperature development during printing. This paper presents an experimental investigation into the effect of printing temperature on bonding quality, with respect to both dimensional accuracy and tensile behavior of the fabricated parts. Test specimens were manufactured using polylactic acid (PLA) material at printing temperatures ranging from ۱۸۰ _x۰۰۱۷_۶C to ۲۴۰ _x۰۰۱۷_۶C in increments of ۱۰ _x۰۰۱۷_۶C. Uniaxial tensile tests were conducted in accordance with ASTM D۶۳۸-۱۴ standard at a strain rate of ۱ mm/min, and each variable condition was tested five times. The results indicate that specimens fabricated at higher printing temperatures exhibit superior tensile properties. The ultimate tensile strength recorded for specimens printed at ۲۴۰ _x۰۰۱۷_۶C and ۱۸۰ _x۰۰۱۷_۶C was ۳۶.۹۷ MPa and ۱۷.۴۷ MPa, respectively. Fracture surfaces were analyzed and correlated with the tensile results to determine the failure mechanisms. Dimensional measurements of the samples, taken using digital calipers, were compared with the nominal design specifications. Specimens printed at ۲۴۰ _x۰۰۱۷_۶C displayed the poorest dimensional accuracy, with a percentage deviation of ۱۰%, despite yielding the highest tensile strength. The optimal printing temperature that provided the best balance between tensile performance and dimensional accuracy was found to be ۲۲۰ _x۰۰۱۷_۶C.
