چکیده مقاله:
Coastal landscapes represent a complex and evolving intersection of architecture, environment, tourism, and hospitality. Their significant physical impacts and extensive influence on living spaces necessitate careful consideration. Among various coastal management strategies, the development of beach resorts is paramount for maximizing tourism potential. Landscape architecture plays a crucial role in bridging the environment and tourism sectors. This study aims to analyze the landscape structure and typology of beach resorts, correlating their design elements with the coastal regions of northern Iran. Employing a qualitative-quantitative, applied, analytical, and descriptive methodology, the research first establishes conceptual frameworks using descriptive methods, followed by descriptive statistics. Library studies and document analysis form the theoretical foundation for deriving principles and identifying optimal landscape design strategies for Iran's northern shores. The analysis reveals five primary global beach resort design strategies, each intrinsically linked to the natural coastal edge, seabed characteristics, and user demographics. Comparative analysis of Iran's three northern coastal provinces against these strategies indicates that direct beachside construction (Strategy ۱) is generally suitable. However, a hybrid approach combining multiple strategies (Strategy ۵) is recommended when considering specific user needs, including cultural and religious considerations unique to the Iranian context. The findings offer valuable guidance for architects, landscape architects, and investors, facilitating contextually appropriate and effective beach resort development in Iran, addressing the current deficit in context-sensitive designs.
