چکیده مقاله:

Climate change has become a major problem for humanity in the past two decades. One of the reasons for its emergence is our daily energy waste. Monitoring energy consumption in real time, changing the energy waste behavior of residents, and using automation with energy saving scenarios are ways to reduce the global energy footprint. Saving energy and avoiding the consumption of non-renewable energy is the most important factor associated with sustainable architecture. Efficient use of energy and cleaner energy sources has become very important due to the scarcity of fossil fuels. In this context, smart grid is an energy infrastructure used to better manage the processes of energy generation, transmission and distribution. A smart grid enables two-way communication between all stakeholders and thus provides an efficient mechanism for energy generation, distribution and consumption. Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) play a crucial role in enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability in buildings. This abstract provides a comprehensive review of BEMS, focusing on its components, benefits, challenges, and future trends. One of the primary benefits of BEMS is its ability to reduce energy consumption and costs. By monitoring and controlling building systems based on occupancy schedules and environmental conditions, BEMS can significantly reduce energy waste. Additionally, BEMS can improve occupant comfort and productivity by maintaining optimal indoor environmental conditions BEMS is a key technology for improving energy efficiency and sustainability in buildings. By leveraging its components and capabilities, BEMS can help reduce energy consumption, lower costs, and create healthier and more comfortable indoor environments. The research method in this study was descriptive and descriptive-analytical using library study tools, reviewing existing literature, and using reliable foreign and domestic online resources in the specialized fields of architecture and energy.
