چکیده مقاله:

Children experience and interact with educational environments in fundamentally different ways due to variations in personality traits, emotional responses, and social interaction tendencies. However, many contemporary kindergarten environments are designed based on standardized spatial models that insufficiently address children's behavioral diversity. This study investigates the relationship between children's personality traits-particularly introversion and extroversion-and spatial organization in kindergarten design. Using a qualitative descriptive-analytical method and a research-based design approach, the study examines concepts from developmental psychology, environmental psychology, and child-centered educational theory to identify spatial characteristics that support psychological comfort, creativity, social development, and individual autonomy in children. The findings suggest that adaptive spatial environments incorporating varying degrees of privacy, social interaction zones, flexible circulation, sensory diversity, and nature-integrated spaces can better respond to children's diverse behavioral needs. The study emphasizes that educational architecture should function not merely as a physical container for learning, but as an active developmental framework that nurtures children's emotional and social well-being through spatial adaptability.
