Utilization of Renewable Energy and Green Technologies in Urban Infrastructure Development of Bangkok: Opportunities, Challenges, and Future Prospects

With the growing push for more sustainable living, cities all over the world are working to weave renewable energy and green technologies into their infrastructure. Bangkok, a rapidly expanding city in Southeast Asia, is grappling with its own major challenges in handling growth, pollution, and its reliance on traditional energy. This study takes a close look at where Bangkok currently stands with these green technologies-exploring the opportunities, the barriers, and a vision for the future. To get the full picture, we looked at city policies, talked with key people involved, and examined relevant case studies. We found some key things driving progress, like the city's huge potential for solar energy, new smart grid initiatives, and a move toward more sustainable transportation. At the same time, we identified major hurdles like inconsistent policies, financial constraints, and different organizations not always working together. The study wraps up with some strategic recommendations to help boost Bangkok's green transformation and pave the way for a sustainable, low-carbon future for the city.
