Providing an efficient method for using lightweight block algorithm in RFID security protocol

With the rapid development of the Internet of Things and the popularity of communication technology, the security of resource-constrained IoT devices such as radio frequency identification (RFID)-based applications has attracted widespread attention. In traditional RFID systems, the communication channel between the tag and the reader is vulnerable to various threats such as denial of service, spoofing, and asynchronous attacks. Therefore, the confidentiality and integrity of the transmitted data cannot be guaranteed. In order to solve these security problems, in this thesis, an efficient method using the lightweight block cipher algorithm, abbreviated as LRSAS, was proposed for RFID authentication, and the coding method was evaluated in Python software. The results showed that the proposed algorithm is robust to seven attacks including data confidentiality and integrity, replay attack, impersonation attack, tracking attack, synchronization attack, denial of service attack, and forward security, and has performed well compared to other protocols.
