چکیده مقاله:
The built environment is responsible for a significant portion of global energy consumption, carbon emissions, and ecological degradation. While sustainable architecture has aimed to reduce environmental harm, emerging paradigms argue that mitigation alone is no longer sufficient. Regenerative and intelligent architecture represents a transformative shift from minimizing negative impact toward actively restoring ecological systems while simultaneously enhancing human well-being. This research explores the conceptual foundations, technological frameworks, and practical applications of regenerative and intelligent design in contemporary architecture. Regenerative architecture is rooted in ecological principles, seeking to create buildings that function as living systems—capable of producing energy, restoring biodiversity, improving water cycles, and contributing positively to their surrounding ecosystems. Intelligent architecture, on the other hand, integrates advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, sensor networks, adaptive façades, and responsive energy systems to optimize building performance dynamically. When combined, these two approaches form a synergistic model in which buildings behave similarly to biological organisms: sensing environmental conditions, adapting in real time, and participating in ecological regeneration. This paper examines the theoretical evolution from sustainability to regeneration, analyzes key technologies enabling intelligent responsiveness, and evaluates case studies where regenerative strategies are enhanced through smart systems. The research argues that the integration of ecological restoration with adaptive technological intelligence is essential for addressing climate change, urban resilience, and resource scarcity. Ultimately, regenerative and intelligent architecture proposes a paradigm in which buildings are no longer passive consumers of resources but active contributors to environmental recovery and human health.
