Determination of Vitamin D۳ in Dairy Products by High Performance Liquid Chromatographic

This study successfully developed a high sensitive extraction and determination of vitamins D۳ in dairy foodstuffs by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The method used n-hexane extraction, followed by C۱۸ column separation with a methanol-water mobile phase under isocratic elution. Detection was performed with a photo-diode array (PDA) detector. The results demonstrated excellent separation and high recovery of the target fat-soluble vitamin D۳. Overall, the method is simpler, more efficient, and has good general applicability, making it an effective tool for the quality control of milk and dairy foods containing this essential vitamin.
