چکیده مقاله:

The growing global demand for clean water and the continuous contamination from industrial dyes and oil spills emphasize the urgent need for sustainable and efficient wastewater treatment technologies. This study presents the development of environmentally friendly magnetic nanocomposites derived from Cladophora Seaweed as bio-based adsorbents for the removal of organic pollutants from aqueous solutions. Utilizing the renewable and low-cost biomass of Cladophora, two types of nanocomposites, Cladophora@CF and Cladophora@CF-DA, were synthesized through a simple and eco-conscious process. The objective was to design multifunctional materials capable of removing both dye and oil contaminants effectively while maintaining easy magnetic recovery and reusability. The adsorption performance of the nanocomposites was thoroughly evaluated under optimized conditions. Cladophora@CF showed high efficiency in removing methylene blue, while Cladophora@CF-DA exhibited enhanced oil absorption due to its increased hydrophobicity achieved through decanoic acid modification. The physicochemical and magnetic properties of the synthesized materials were confirmed through comprehensive structural and morphological analyses, validating their stability and recyclability. The practical efficiency of the developed nanocomposites was further demonstrated through adsorption tests on real water samples, highlighting their potential for large-scale application in wastewater purification. The use of Cladophora-derived biomass not only offers an abundant and renewable source material but also aligns with the principles of green chemistry and circular economy. In summary, this research introduces a novel and sustainable approach to wastewater remediation by employing Cladophora-based magnetic nanocomposites for the dual removal of dyes and oil. Their high performance, environmental compatibility, and magnetic recoverability make them promising candidates for future industrial and environmental water treatment systems.
