چکیده مقاله:
Achieving sustainable urban development requires more than economic growth-it demands the creation of cities that respect diversity, equity, and inclusivity. Within this context, urban rights emphasize every citizen's entitlement to access, participate in, and shape the spaces of the city. Persons with physical disabilities are among the groups most frequently excluded from these rights due to physical and social barriers embedded in the built environment. This paper explores how inclusive design principles in rehabilitation architecture can serve as a practical instrument for realizing urban rights and sustainable social equity. Using qualitative and analytical methods, the research examines global frameworks including the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Sustainable Development Goal ۱۱ (UN-Habitat), and Lefebvre's concept of the right to the city and applies them to rehabilitation architecture in developing contexts such as Iran. The study concludes that inclusive rehabilitation centers, integrating physical accessibility, perceptual comfort, and social interaction, can promote justice-oriented and sustainable urban environments.
