چکیده مقاله:
Social housing is vital for providing basic living conditions, yet quantitative-driven production often neglects human-centered spatial quality, undermining residents' dignity. This study evaluates human dignity, a multidimensional concept within the built environment. Adopting a mixed-method approach, the research identifies key components of human dignity through comprehensive library research and evaluates their significance via field surveys in Parand's Mehr Housing. The study focuses on three primary dimensions: "Human Agency and Control," "Spatial Justice," and "Privacy and Territoriality." Findings indicate that "Human Agency and Control" ranks as the most critical priority for residents, followed by "Spatial Justice," while "Privacy and Territoriality" ranks third. By identifying and assessing these essential components, the research highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the Mehr Housing model, emphasizing the necessity of prioritizing human-spatial qualities over rigid, quantitative approaches in future housing developments.
