چکیده مقاله:
In recent decades, the increasing population density in large cities has posed multiple challenges to residents' quality of life, mental health, and lived experiences. One innovative approach to addressing these challenges is the application of Neuro-Architecture an interdisciplinary field that integrates neuroscience, environmental psychology, and architectural design to examine the impact of built environments on human emotions, behaviors, and cognitive functions. This study aims to analyze the role of neuro-architecture in emotion regulation and the enhancement of mental well-being among occupants of high-density buildings. The research methodology is based on a systematic review of scholarly literature, case studies of successful global projects, and the analysis of neuro-psychological indicators related to spatial experience (such as cortisol levels, brainwave patterns, and physiological responses to environmental stimuli). Findings indicate that parameters including natural light, effective ventilation, sensory diversity, natural textures, calming colors, and flexible spatial hierarchies play a crucial role in stress modulation, reducing feelings of crowding, and promoting social interactions. The results emphasize the necessity of rethinking architectural design approaches in high-density contexts and suggest that neuroscience-based metrics be utilized as tools for assessing the emotional quality of spaces during the design process. Ultimately, this paper proposes a conceptual model for integrating neuro-architectural principles into the design of high-density buildings, aiming to create human-centered, calming, and psychologically supportive environments.
