چکیده مقاله:
Oxidative stress plays a pivotal role in the development of various chronic diseases. Natural antioxidants, such as curcumin, resveratrol, quercetin, and epigallocatechin-۳-gallate (EGCG), have been extensively investigated for their potential to mitigate oxidative damage. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the in vitro effects of these antioxidants on oxidative stress markers across diverse cellular models. A comprehensive literature search was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, retrieving a total of ۲۴۷ records. After removing duplicates and screening titles, abstracts, and full texts, ۱۳ studies were included in the final analysis. Data on reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant enzyme activities were extracted and synthesized. Across the included studies, all four antioxidants consistently reduced ROS production, decreased lipid peroxidation, and enhanced endogenous antioxidant defenses, including superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), and catalase (CAT). Despite heterogeneity in experimental conditions, the overall trends support the protective effects of these compounds. These findings underscore the therapeutic potential of natural antioxidants and provide a strong foundation for future preclinical and clinical investigations.
