Recently, technological advancement leads to many changes in second language learning. One of the most interesting tools is Augmented Reality (AR). AR helps learners to learn better and easier, especially in vocabulary learning and retention. Actually, using AR flashcards are more effective and engaging than traditional flashcards. AR flashcards allow learners to learn the words through sound, visuals, and motion. Also, studies have shown that AR makes second language learning more engaging and helps learners remember new words better. However, most AR applications use the same content for every learner and don't pay attention to learners, individual needs. Artificial Intelligence (AI) can solve this problem. In fact, AI analyzes learner performance and adjusts the content according to the learners' needs. This study finds the integration of AI and AR flashcards as an innovative approach to vocabulary learning in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context. Previous studies have shown that AR enhances engagement and memory retention, while AI provides adaptive and personalized learning experiences. In fact, in my proposed model, AR flashcards combine with AI algorithms to provide personalized vocabulary learning experiences. In this model the main goals are improving long-term word retention, increasing learners, motivation, and supporting the creation of future intelligent language-learning tools. This study concludes that the combination of AI and AR has great potential to make vocabulary learning more interactive, efficient, and learner-centered. Also, this model makes student more interested.
