چکیده مقاله:

With a growing urgency for buildings that are both kind to the environment and save energy in the hot, dry parts of Iran, this review looks into how we can blend modern smart technologies, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), with Iran's long history of clever, climate-aware building designs. For centuries, traditional Iranian building methods have cleverly used passive techniques, like inner courtyards, windcatchers, and thick walls that store heat, to keep indoor spaces comfortable. But today, new problems like cities getting bigger and the climate changing mean we need new, creative answers. This paper brings together what's already written about old-school designs that work with the climate, smart building tech (like smart materials and control systems), and the big changes AI can bring to making buildings work better, from how they're designed to how they run. What we've found shows that even though these old ways give us a strong starting point, smart tech can make them work much better. AI especially opens up new ways for smarter energy use, fixing things before they break, and spaces tailored to individual needs. The review also points out some big hurdles to making this happen in Iran, like having the right technology set up, cost issues, government rules, and whether people will embrace these changes. But it also highlights some great chances to create new kinds of buildings that are high-tech but also fit well with Iranian culture. In the end, the paper suggests that the best way forward is to carefully mix old wisdom with new ideas. This is key to building places in Iran that can stand the test of time, use resources well, and are good for the planet, which lines up with what Iran and the world are aiming for in terms of sustainability.
