چکیده مقاله:

This article examines the critical consequences of the commodification of architecture in contemporary consumerist society, and examines the intersection of urbanization and market-driven design in a coherent way. Given that architecture is increasingly seen as a commodity in the modern era and that the decline in quality in the design of built environments has led to spatial homogenization, the cultural dimensions of architecture and the social responsibility of architects are increasingly ignored. Through a comprehensive review of the existing literature and the historical course of these developments, this study examines how the commodification of architecture affects individual freedom, psychological well-being, and social cohesion. Finally, by addressing the underlying ethical dimensions of architectural decisions, it highlights the importance of shifting the approach towards a form of sustainable urban development in which human well-being takes precedence over financial gain.
