In recent decades, the Middle East has witnessed various political, social, economic, and military events and changes, apart from the issues arising from the oil competition of major countries. Also, the security arrangements of the region during the past and present century, the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution and the political and social developments resulting from it in the Middle East, the formation of the American rapid reaction force and the related actions and reactions, the formation of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and regional works. It is Iraq's eight-year imposed war against Iran, Iraq's military aggression against Kuwait and its political and military results, the formation of a new world order after the second Persian Gulf crisis, and the US attack on Afghanistan and Iraq as a turning point in the field of politics. It is considered regional and international. The Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq, as two important and influential countries in the West Asian region, was the main topic of this thesis, and this question was asked, what were the opportunities and challenges of energy diplomacy in Iran-Iraq relations from ۱ to? Our main problem in this research was more focused on oil and gas energy. Using the SWOT analysis method, we came to the conclusion that the relations between Iran and Iraq in the field of energy in the period from ۱ to have been affected by political, economic and security factors, and weak energy diplomacy has prevailed between the two countries, but there is an opportunity to establish, establish and Maintaining energy security and cooperation in the development of sustainable and innovative technologies in the field of energy is provided, and possible challenges include competition for energy resources, tensions at borders, security issues related to energy supply, international sanctions and restrictions, as well as the impact of economic sanctions on exports. and energy imports.
