چکیده مقاله:

Urban landscapes are complex systems shaped by historical, cultural, ecological, and technological dimensions. This paper examines the aesthetic components of Isfahan's urban landscape through a sustainable development lens, integrating morphological, visual, environmental, and movement/accessibility criteria. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, including field surveys, participatory assessments, and quantitative analyses, complemented by smart technology applications. Findings indicate that Isfahan's Safavid-era urban fabric-characterized by hierarchical street networks, green corridors, qanat water systems, and integrated public spaces-enhances ecological performance, social cohesion, and cultural continuity. The research emphasizes the synergistic role of aesthetic planning in promoting urban resilience, livability, and heritage preservation. Practical guidelines for urban renewal, green infrastructure expansion, adaptive reuse, and smart city integration are proposed. This study contributes to the theoretical and practical understanding of sustainable urban aesthetics, offering transferable insights for historic cities globally.
