چکیده مقاله:

In this study, a magnetic nanocomposite based on a chromium coordination complex immobilized on iron oxide nanoparticles was successfully synthesized and comprehensively characterized. Fe۳O۴ nanoparticles were prepared via a co-precipitation method and subsequently functionalized using a glycine-derived Schiff-base ligand to enable the stable anchoring of Cr(III) species onto the magnetic surface. The structural, morphological, elemental, thermal, and magnetic properties of the resulting [Fe۳O۴@Gly–N=Schiff base–Cr] nanocomposite were investigated using FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDX, ICP-OES, TGA, and VSM analyses. XRD results confirmed the preservation of the magnetite crystalline phase after surface modification, while microscopic analyses revealed a nanoscale morphology with a core–shell-like structure. Elemental and quantitative analyses verified the successful immobilization and significant loading of chromium species. Thermogravimetric analysis demonstrated good thermal stability and effective surface functionalization, and magnetic measurements confirmed the superparamagnetic behavior of the nanocomposite, enabling easy separation using an external magnetic field.
